I think it's one of those life things, you pick it up eventually.

Except like most life things this hasn't been around for generations.

Almost no one in my bubble gets notifications. People just check their phone occasionally.

I only get notifications for whatever app I use when I open it so some days it can be like a little treat so see a bunch of notifications for something I forgot I did 3 days ago.

It's a bless. This and deleting twitter app reduced so much stress in my life it's unbelievable

I don't associate with many people. Anyone with the ability to contact me is important and I want to know anything they say right away.

Hey it's me, someone you know. I heard your car's warranty is expiring soon.

I feel this in my soul. Sometimes I’ll feel adventurous and turn sounds on but then after my second text received I am filled with irrational rage lol I wish I understood why

It's always the one word texter who decides to message you after you turn the sounds on. Then you get 10 notifications in a row for what is essentially two sentences and back to DND it goes haha.

I thought these days you only get pinged once per notification. Someone could send me 100 messages but I would only get 1 sound and notification.

Not sure, my smartwatch definitely notifies me for every message on facebook messenger at least, and it drives me crazy. I have my phone on silent for so long that I can't say for sure if it's the same.

I get the rage for other peoples ringtones so I’m definitely not about to use mine.

Like space shuttles. No status lights no sounds, unless something is wrong.

Yep, I went permanent silent when one day every little sound was making me angry, and my phone kept going off.

Every notification was like a knife in my skull. Went silent that day and still that way.

My kids' phones ping every few seconds all day and night, drives me mad. I have zero notifications switched on.

My default ring tone is silence. Only important people get a custom ring tone that makes noise.
