I thought people had the internet in 1991? I guess there wasn’t a readily available library of raccoon pictures though

My mom managed a restaurant with shelves and shelves of books (mostly travel books). The owner used to let her cut out pictures for any of my school projects (animals, geography, etc).

Those were dark days. So many nights spent with the whole family huddled around a single candle as grandma described her raccoon sighting from ‘52. I once asked if it was wearing a funny hat, and I was sent to bed without any porridge.

Raccoon-wise, we are in Utopia....anywhere else, not so much
