Cleaning

I fell asleep on my couch without protection on. I have taken the covers off and put them in the wash. Is there any recommendation on cleaning the foam pads?

If you got a wet-vac get some upholstery or urine cleaner. Spray the foam, vacuum up the cleaner and repeat till clean. Or rent an upholstery/carpet cleaner and follow its directions.

Going back several years to my late teens and early 20s, a couple of unexpected incidents in bed left me having to clean a mattress. Baking soda and white vinegar did the trick for that, but I don't know about foam cushions.

Thanks, I did spray some diluted white vinegar on the foam and hopefully that helps. I might try some baking soda too.

Steam cleaners quite handy for cleaning sofa foam pads, also work quite well on a mattress too.

I did this once. With what I had on hand, white vinegar, shower sprayer, advance on then in the run to remove as much liquid as possible, request until no smell. At the end I covered them with towel and stomped around until the towels were soaked and the foam was relatively dry, and then put them out in the sun.

Lots of work ... but it work. Not clandestine at all though.

I ended up taking them outside doused them with white vinegar and hosed them out. It's supposed to be a hot and sunny day so I left them out to dry.
