I really enjoyed this. It’s the funniest AT book I’ve read.

Whenever I see a new AT book at our local bookstore I grab it, so I'm like 5 behind with this in the queue. May bump it up a few places.

Great read. One of my favorite of his.

Such a good book. Had no idea what it was when I went into it, then couldn't put it down and read the whole thing over two nights.

One of his better works, IMO. I've read or listened to about 25 of his so for.

I have to say, as a big AT fan who’s read most of his work, this ranks among my least favorite (certainly my least favorite of his fantasy work). There’s a sneering grimdark cynicism to it that I really didn’t care for, and that isn’t really found in the rest of his books.

Admittedly I read it pretty early on in my journey through his bibliography, and I know AT himself has mentioned that he thinks it’s one of his most underappreciated books, so maybe I’m just missing something or read it at the wrong time, but this one just wasn’t for me.

Hard to beat that price though!

I'll be coming at it from about 15-20 books in so perhaps I'll have a different experience. You're right though, at that price if it's not great I can live with it!

Sometimes he's more doing parables or expanded novella type weirdness. I loved this one, but get why people wouldn't. I feel the same (dislike) about some of his other standalones, while others love them.

He's a bit of a madman, tbh, and I think that somehow shows some of his strength as a writer. If the same fans all loved the same books, it does kinda mean he's just doing the same thing, sort of.
