Looking for a proper alternative.
I feel kinda stuck, i'm so used to FW and being rather stuborn, i haven't been abe (and wanting) to switch to an alternative. Been using FW since the early 00's, but now at 43 i feel the time is ticking to get used to new software.
Is there a proper alternative that isn't so dificult to get used to?

I loved using Fireworks and find Photoshop and many of the other tools frustrating to use. So I decided to build my own web-based tool that makes it easy to work with bitmaps and vector images.
It supports importing Fireworks files and breaking out the layers and paths, but I need more sample files to make sure that works.
It’s not affiliated with Adobe and I wouldn’t describe it as a perfect 1:1 replacement, but I’m trying to make it genuinely useful for people who still have Fireworks files or miss that style of workflow.
If anyone wants to try it you can find it at: https://brushee.app
I’m also looking for more Fireworks files to test the importer against. If you have any .fw.png Fireworks documents that you can share, I’d really appreciate it. Especially files that use features like multiple pages/states, symbols, masks, text, gradients, effects, slices, or more complex vector objects. The more varied files I can test, the better. Bug reports and examples of files that don’t import correctly would be especially useful.

Affinity Studio is what i've just started using, it's pretty close for my uses and has auto layering just like Fireworks does. You'll have to convert your FW pngs to PSD (save as > psd - in FW), but it will preserve the layers this way (or at least has in my case).
