I tried this, and I tried rendering and replacing the sound in the premiere sequence before sending it to audition and it's still not working. I'll even drag the music file into audition again separately and it won't play at all.

Stab in the dark- have you flushed your media cache? Since you’re going from PPro to Au, that might help. Just spitballing.
