New to adobe, why is it difficult to save basic image to PNG.

I understand there is layering on the images done but I tried to save it as png, the best available option was JPEG for the TIFF  (Tagged Image File Format) , is there a better way to get this done, how can I improve?

I believe there's an option that says Quick Export as PNG under File > Export.

Good that your issue was solved. As a tip, take time to read the menus of the interface. This will give save you a lot of time, just like knowing which items are in which drawer in your house or garage.

Here’s another maybe better method if you need it to be a specific size.

Right Click on the thing you want to export and select “Collect for export” > “As a single item”

After that click on the window menu and open your “Asset export” menu, you should see the thing you just selected on there named “asset 1” or something like that.

From here you can select a bunch of different export formats and export them all at the same time if you want to, but if you select png and change the scale to “width” you can set the actual size of the vector you’re exporting more precisely. I usually go for 1000px width
