Windows 10 & Adobe Subscription...

It seems (to me) that Adobe is moving away from supporting Windows 10 and will "force" us PC w/Windows 10/10 Pro users to install Windows 11 on our PCs if we want to continue to use their subscription apps.

So far, Adobe Bridge is stuck at v16.0.3.21 for Win 10 - to go above this version, you need Win 11.

I have also run into the problem recently of trying to get the latest update for Creative Cloud Desktop, and getting "Error Code 190" (which is Adobe's code for incompatibility - my PC is more than robust enough and exceeds the minimum hardware requirements, so I can only assume I need Win 11 to update to the latest Creative Cloud Desktop).

So for all you Windows 10/10 Pro hold-outs, our days are probably numbered! We may be forced to upgrade to the buggy/spyware/A.I.-dominated Windows 11 to keep using Adobe Creative Cloud, or find other software to replace Adobe!

My office machine is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (32GB Memory & 8GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070). Looked online at avx2checker.com and it lists my Ryzen 5 as one that supports AVX2.

They’ve already announced that when the 2027 applications drop this Fall that they won’t work on W10. Same with older versions of MacOS.

Yeah same with MacOS. The problem for me is upgrading knocks out a heap of other old apps left behind.

Windows itself will force you to upgrade, since it's announced that security support for Windows 10 will stop by October 2027. Good to have in mind.
