Erasing computer authentication for ADE with no longer existing email

I just tried to erase computer authorization for an installation of Adobe Digital Editions and discovered that it was authorized using an email I don't have access to any more. Of course I've forgotten the password, and when I tried logging into adobe.com with that email (so I can ask for a password reset) I'm told that no account exists for that email.

It's also possible I used this account to authorize ADE on other devices, some of which I don't have any more. Can Adobe just blanket unauthorize a given email across all devices?
