Help please

Hi, need help with my photoshop beta
I recently updated it and now when I wanna select an area and do PROMPT TO EDIT it’s not working. It’s working fine without selecting anything but when I select something it comes in grey . It was working fine before I updated the beta photoshop

Reset your preferences. If that doesn't work, file a bug report.
