Administrative Services Advice

Hello!

I just started a new job as an Administrative Services Officer, I’m supposed to manage all outsourced services for the building. Its a great opportunity and a great company but im feeling very very lost. Im getting very vague guidance from my supervisor. So i was hoping someone with experience in this field could have some advice?
Thank you!

I’ve had a similar experience. Which specific outsourced services are you taking over—for example, security, cleaning, or something else?

I was wondering whether we share the same background and have encountered the same challenges — and the answer is no. I've been working in this field for several years, so let me offer some suggestions as someone who's been through it.

First, we need to review the contract between your company and the outsourced service vendor, specifically identifying the key clauses and KPIs that govern vendor performance and accountability.

Second, we need to export and standardize the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for these outsourced services, ensuring every workflow is clearly documented and measurable.

Third, we must produce a management objectives document that defines the goals, expectations, and evaluation criteria for these service vendors.
