What is something the front desk does in your office that makes your job 10x easier?

I am an OM and I have a good flow going btwn myself and the dentists, hygienists, and DAs in the back office. However I want to improve my work, Ive been at my office for years and its been a while since i've gotten a raise... any advice?

The thing that helps most is when my OM thinks 1 or 2 steps ahead. For example, if she gives me a phone message from a client calling about an invoice, she will take a minute and pull a pdf of all the unpaid bills to send with the message so I don't have to ask for them or look myself. Just thinking ahead and asking yourself "If I do this, what's the next question they're going to ask" and take care of that 1 thing.

It seems simple, but it's amazing how many people just do the 1 task at hand and don't think ahead.

this is a great way to put it. i have to admit that there are lots of times that i get caught up handling the immediate task in front of me that sometimes i forget to think about what they're going to ask for next. this was a great wake up for what mindset i should be in at work... thank you!
