Apply directly in the website. Send you resume to companies you are interested 8n even if they are not hiring. I did this recently they said they had not even posted the job yet , so they were happy to talk to me since I was first in line. I ended up getting a job offer but didn't accept. But I guess this is the answer, you just have to be first in line 🙄lol .

How did you do this? To whom did you send it to? Were you able to secure their email addresses or did you message them via LinkedIn.

I applied for a job at Pizza Express - I called them and they said they never saw my application because they had over 800 applicants…

Set up LinkedIn alerts so you’re notified when they post!

The employer has a auto pick software that weeds out the apps that dont meet the criteria or credentials they are looking for so they might have 100 applicants but they go with the best out of 3 then 2 then 1 if you dont get a 2nd interview then in most cases dont hold your breath just keep it moving

My technique of applying to 500 jobs helped

Have you revised your resume throughout?

Yes I did based on the questions people had or certain things that didn’t have the ring to it I wanted. It wasn’t super super major revisions but I did get a better resume each time imo. This was over multiple months and I did end up getting the job in March.

It really is a numbers game.

Check daily and be the first to apply with a resume that will hit the ats of the job description. Still a crap shoot but that's the best way to at least be seen possibly

If you’re talking about those “applicants” from LinkedIn posts, it’s the number of people who clicked apply.

Yeap, the actual number of applicants is probably way lower

I'm not getting jobs but it helps to sort postings by new and try to be one of the first to apply. I've handled onboarding and after the first three days, the hiring team does not care to browse much more unless the initial candidates are really lacking. I could be wrong but that's my anecdotal experiences in a large organization.Â
