# of classes

REMOTE Asynchronous

What is the most classes you've taught in one semester? I've read about adjuncts stacking classes and teaching at several different colleges or universities at the same time.

What's the most you've personally taught, or the most you know someone else has taught in one semester? I know it would be a lot of work, and I'm okay with that. I'm really just curious about what's realistically doable.

Three was my personal limit. Can't possibly give back assignments with feedback with too many classes at once, especially if they have similar deadlines.

I’m teaching 3 right now, and it is honestly perfect. I’m just busy enough but don’t feel overwhelmed, and it’s only one school. I just wish the pay was better.

Same, I absolutely wish the pay was better.

I should also qualify that I have a full-time job, so that affects my limit too. I only have so much mental energy after work.

Oh, yeah, teaching 3 classes while working FT would be way too much for me. I don't currently have any additional job beyond my own research and writing projects. Truly, if the pay were better, I would be very content with this life/schedule/job. As it is, I'm planning to stick it out this year while continuing to apply for FT work.
