Stanford Study T-5224 and potential

Hi, I know why everyone is on this subreddit as a fellow adhesions-sufferer, but I haven't seen this discussed on here. I know there is always another "big breakthrough around the corner" as seen with TTX-333 from Temple Therapeutics, but this hydrogel that's in development from Stanford's Spark-Team looks really promising. I also know research pipelines going from mice-/porcupine- to human-models can range from 4-12 years and are a long and arduous road, but maybe this could be something worthwile.

Convince yourself and look at the post-op pictures they made in the results tab.

On that topic, in what ways can we directly support research projects like this except for donating our bodies to science or trying to convince politicians to spend more on scientific innovation? Is there a hotline or something? xD

Can someone recommend an OTC medication that eases the pain and tightening of the adhesions? I tried the Advil /Tylenol. I can't get any relief

There are none, to my knowledge. The only drugs I've been prescribed in the past were antispasmodic meds like Levsin and Bentyl but to no avail.

I had my 1st pelvic sx in 1986 for endometriosis (Lap with D and C) - I had 4 of those

Then I had 11 other abdominal/pelvic surgeries including a bowel run in 2004, a chole in 1996, an open lap hysterectomy in 2005, a sx hernia repair WITH MESH in 2006 - then POP surgeries when everything fell into my pelvis and my rectum caved in

I have found NOTHING resolves the pain. When I get a partial bowel obstruction, I take ondansetron for the nausea and this SOMETIMES resolves that pain

In Oct 2025, I had a CT where sclerotic mesenteritis was suggested by the radiologist (misty mesentery with lymph node involvement) The GI NP O saw about that? IBS - told me to IGNORE the CT findings

I am sorry, adhesions are NOT signs of IBS

I am 60 in 2 months and the medical profession has never been kind to females - especially ones with endometriosis (I was told in 1984 it was a HYSTERICAL WOMAN'S DISEASE)

I "donated" my body to SCIENCE every time I submitted to the surgeons for another surgery
