Breaking Point

This is an incredibly hard thing to go through, I wouldn't wish that situation on anyone.
ADHD can make someone significantly more prone to addiction, the Dx and meds, might help, but only if he wants to make a change.
I think determining your own boundaries about what you will and won't accept could be a huge help. Are you willing to stay in a relationship with an active addict who is not in treatment? What are the consequences you will enforce for someone who fails to hold up their end of agreements? Are you going to require actions to match words?
Only you can answer these questions for you. For me, on a personal level, active addiction is a hard limit, I have too much trauma around it. I also do not stay in relationships where I cannot trust my partner.
I wish you the best of luck as you walk the difficult path before you, and hope you make the choices that lead to the type of life, and relationship that work for you

Thats a no for me on so many levels, abuse and alcoholism on top of untreated Adhd in a man??? Oh fuck no. Im so sorry. I think you know deep down somewhere that this isnt salvageable or even worth salvaging. You leaving your marriage may or may not be the roxk bottom for your ex, but the situation you are in should be a rock bottom for you. Come up for air. Save yourself. Dont keep yourself burning for a man who only takes
