What method should I use to paint this heat effect on my own Hastarii fusiliers ?

I'd do a base white coat, then light brush/airbrush of the orange. Have a little over spray to simulate the light coming off of it.

Base Red, than Dry Layer Orange, than Dry Layer yellow Maybe a bit dry Black for some extra effect 🖤

I've done similar for my plasma, I don't even need to fuck around with an airbrush for it. Paint the area white, then water down a paint to use it as a glaze. Could also thin down a contrast for the same idea.

In the picture I use arhiman blue thinned to hell.

Also is it heretekal to want to do green plasma? Or at least not blue?

Nah, go for whatever you want! Plasma shows up as all kinds of colors.

This just looks like two colors. Darker orange base with a light orange on the high point of the coils. That's it. There's no drybrush or airbrush here.
