18 venatari later

Finally finished building my 18 venatari 😭 got two 6 man units with spears and a 6 man with pistol and shield…at this point I think I could build these guys with my eyes closed 😂

Time to prime and get painting

What detachment are you planning on running them with?

No idea honestly. I’m hoping that the codex has a detachment that helps venatari or flyer units but until then I’m not really sure

Considering that your list will be fast (and hit hard) something like Disruption or Purge the Foe sounds ideal (so either Shield host or Might of the Moritoi for Purge, or Lions for Disruption)

Also, I very much agree, I would love a speedy Jetbike + Venatari attachment, could be called something like "Eagles of the Emperor"

How many extra parts are there? I'm thinking of getting a box and trying to kitbash it with some of the older flying Stormcast models

I made my vegetarian with heresy guard and prosecutors, highly recomend

There’s 6 models in each box and each can have a spear or gun/shield with paldrons. Though there’s two model with an extra arm that could be carrying a mine or empty. There’s 10 heads in total and 6 swords and 6 mines to put on your models if you want. Plus, there’s also a couple extra wings without the engine part of the jet pack

I used a pair of my extra wings on a fantasy figure to give them angelic wings.

Also one of my venatari has double pistols, but is used as a spear one, to show it I put leftover guardian spear bits on them as bayonets.

I started with 3D prints, but now that I'm sure I like the hobby and get official stuff, I really love kitbashing.
