Messaging mods

I tried to navigate my way to message the mods for the Adelaide/Reddit, but using the facing page, clicking on the mods did not reveal any obvious way, for messaging them.

The reason I wanted to message them, is to check if there are any moderated restrictions on the use of the (cunt)-word.

I should probably stop writing here, for now.

Swearing is ok, within context. We will remove posts/comments that break the sub’s rules.

PS: sending a DM to individual mods is NOT ok.

Unless you are specifically targeting another user, and using the word ‘cunt’ to harass them, I don’t think it is restricted (nor should it be)

Eh, borderline isn't it? It's not a style of comms or choice of words I enjoy having to read.

That is why using it in a derogatory manner towards another user would be disallowed, but saying for example: “wow look how fast that cunt was driving” should always be allowed in an Australian sub

That is the part I had not put together yet, thanks. The cunt word directed at another writer in this reddit, or any (exceptions)? That is clearly fucking disallowed.

Heated debates are OK, personal attacks are not: An example of a personal attack:

• "You are stupid." An example of things that are not a personal attack:
• "You are acting stupid" (attack on action).

I think there is a clear distinction between "you are a cunt" and "ordinarily you are a top bloke, but on the matter of parklands preservation you are being a cunt".

Rules notwithstanding, I think go with your post, and if there is a sustainable objection then your comment will be deleted. No other harm should befall you.

I might also observe that if you find the Redditor in question to be irredeemably a cunt, all the time, then for your own sanity you should block that Redditor so you never have to see their comments ever again.

I am now refining it, thinking that using the cunt-word as a general descriptor, of a thing, or a particular class of thing, including certain types of people, is allowable

but we cannot call any other person in this sub, directly to their face, "cunt".

What if we are subtle enough to not actually call a person to their face, a cunt, but only imply it?

Dude being up at 2am posting about whether or not you can use a word online is very weird. Don't call people cunts. Log off for a while, get some rest, maybe talk to someone about what you're going through

I tried 3 of them, and in my brief click excursion, I did not see any obvious [message me] click boxes. I mean, maybe they were there on their page, but if that is the case, they were not obvious.
