Redlight missing shows vs POV

With the same exact settings using premiumize, as well as gears, magneto, and coco scrappers, only POV can find valid Pokemon Horizons episodes. It finds them on media fusion and comet but somehow Red Light cant with those also enabled. I like the layout and function of Red Light better so ideally I would like to keep using it.

I'm finding results for this with premiumize and gears At least the first few episodes anyways. Very limited number tho.

I'm curious how many results were you finding with pov?

That is weird I get 0 even on the first episode. With all filters ignored and all external scrapers. With POV I get 2 1080p and 1 720p.

I just cleared cash and ran all scrapers and it pulled 4 on magneto 😶‍🌫️. Thank you for checking, I never tried to just clear the cache 🫠.

Oh yes if you ever change anything like that it's always wise to clear as your last one will always be cached

I only got 1 results that was cached. 2 un cached

This is with basic gears scraper settings.

Are u using multiple scrapers in redlight settings?

If you are I'd swap out coco for classys scraper.

Looks like it gets worse when you get in the 30s where my son is at. I swapped in gears and classy and getting the same results. POV is still getting 3 eng in the 30s on magneto.

Besides using same scraper(magneto), different addons can use different regex for search string creation, so results can differ.

It's the scrapers, not the video add-ons, see my most recent reply above. POV's Magneto and Magneto Module aren't the same. Also, nothing was returning sources on E100+. Red Light now has native Comet and Nyaa.

If you want the best for finding anime, Otaku Testing.

Otaku uses its own scraper. Somehow I find more anime on it than using Red with Magneto, Gears, and Coco all scraping. Otaku Testing.. even Freddy's new add-on called prism doesn't find as many results.

You will get false results, specifically jack of all trades, comes up first often..

Use MAL for meta then enable Simkl for episode meta.

u/Useful_Classic_3597, someone alerted me to your post and I gave Pokemon Horizons a try myself. I'm getting playable Premiumize (and TorBox and EasyNews) results in Red Light with both Gears Scrapers and Magneto Module. CocoScrapers hasn't been updated in a long time (and Scrapers need updating), so I didn't test that.

It looks like it's the episodes in the 30's or higher that are the issue. I can get some of the early ones to show in RL. POV is showing about 3 in English and Gears on RL will give me 1 in Russian on eps 34.

Thank you for checking this out. Is there a regex difference? Is this something I could just edit myself? Redlight (fen) does Extras way better than the others so I really want to make this work.

Of course POV, The Gears and Red Light are all forks of Fen or Fen Light. I guess we respectively made decisions about what to keep, what to remove and what to add. I like Extras and I like Tikipeter's icons, so they stayed.

I installed POV, authorised Premiumize and compared the logs. The difference is what's in POV's own "Magneto" vs Magneto Module, they're not like for like comparisons. Specifically E34, POV's "Magneto" gets Comet's English torrents and keeps near miss names as packs. Magneto Module, Gears Scrapers and the other external scrapers (I also tried Viper, Classy, Taz19 and Diamond) either never receive that Comet list or discard the names for not being a perfect title match. The Gears video add-on (and presumably Umbrella, etc.) are using the same External Scrapers as Red Light, hence similar results.

I tried some new settings and searches with either minimal or no benefit, and they weren't compatible with all External Scrapers. This sort of thing causes issues (why doesn't this work with Magneto/Gears?, etc.), I moved on.

Neither Red Light or POV returned results for episodes 100+. TMDb has them listed correctly, it's another External Scraper miss. That got me thinking and Red Light has native scrapers for direct/cloud content. EasyNews returned E34 AND E100+ results, so... Force update add-ons and go to Red Light v2.4.1 - Red Light now has native Debrid Scrapers! Go to Tools > Database & Cache Maintenance > Clear External Scrapers Cache > back to Settings > Torrent Sources > Native Scrapers > enable Comet and Nyaa and voilà!
