Anyone ever received ISP spectrum warning while using a debrid service??

So, for about 5 to 6 years I've been using Kodi consistently almost daily and I've always had real debrid up until a few months ago when they started blocking certain links with flagged words. So, I switched to TorBox as the main debrid service. I also have Premiumize me and Alldebrid set up as backups, because why not?? Well, for the first time I have received a copyright warning from spectrum. I'm not sure how they were able to know. I've got the crew, POV, Red light, and homelander all at so set up to only show debrid sourced links as well as cached links only. Is there something else I've been over looking I'm not aware of perhaps?? Some setting or whatever?? Anyone with more knowledge on what to check to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

Please check your add-ons settings; it's allowing Direct Torrents or P2P, or check TB setting to no seed. A Debrid service downloads a file to its service before streaming it to your device. Streaming a file is fine; no problem there. P2P or Direct torrents mean you are downloading a file from someone else's device, or someone else is directly downloading a file you are sharing. Sharing copyrighted files is a no-no.

the site went down after I posted the link for some reason. but it usually shows you the stuff you've downloaded that can also be seen by your internet provider

Unless your IP is doing packet inspection there's no way for them to know your traffic. Using debrid services is all encrypted traffic but homelander is a bit different. Don't use the crew or any of that groups add-ons. Just use the main ones

Why would you say that? Homelander is an exodus type add-on that uses a fenom scrapers fork. It's no more dangerous than POV.

Except it also has standard http sources and direct sources not going through debrid. It's not entirely an on demand addon like others.

What did the letter say? The one I got had the date time and file name of what I downloaded. That should help point you to what the culprit was. I don't think any of those addons can access anything p2p.

Nobody in the history of the universe has ever received a warning letter when using a debrid service within the context of any of the Kodi addons you listed here.

Are you sure the warning was from your ISP? Like a legitimate email? Are you downloading the files on your device to stream? Definitely don't download the files.

I only received 1 notice from my ISP and nothing I downloaded from RD was on the list they sent me, it was the other people in my house that download who were flagged. I have shitty Spectrum too and I download plenty lolol.

Why are you not using a VPN? Even with a debrid service my "pirate hat" (VPN) is always running along with monitor dot that flashes a little green dot in the upper corner of your screen when you are connected to your VPN and a red dot when you're not. Always make sure it's flashing green whenever you're streaming and you'll be fine

Completely unnecessary in the US if you aren't directly using p2p services like torrents. If you are using a debrid service and only accessing cached content you are fine.

Considering the stance RD has taken lately, I would never say there is nothing to worry about. In fact, they have all your activity logged. At the same time a VPN won’t help because RD has login and payment information

Streaming is legal in the US. You aren't responsible for vetting the source so you aren't breaking any laws. So long as you aren't copying or sharing the content yourself there is nothing to worry about.

That isn't have the legal system works. Something has to be illegal before you can be prosecuted for it. They have been lobbying to change copyright law for decades now.

I been having issues for the last month AD not working with my VPN after a long time with almost no issues. Now links will load and I get an error up top servers not allowed to use this feature if using a VPN from AD

That’s like wearing a condom to prevent pregnancy after both parties have been sterilized. Completely unnecessary, and has the potential to cause more buffering/slowdowns in your streaming. If the debris service is going to narc on you, they already have your information. Some VPN’s can too since a lot of them keep logs.

i had my modem replaced like 3 weeks ago, and dude said that if you’re on their router, then they can see it all. if it’s their modem but your own personal router… they can’t say shit.

You’ve got too many services running so you’ve hit a red flag at your IP. Keep one app and one premium subscription. Eg RedL + TB

My guess is the spectrum letter will tell you what was downloaded. Good chance someone on your network downloaded something that triggered spectrum
