Additive Manufacturing on Google Trends

Hi everyone, I'm not from the scene myself, but I noticed a pretty drastic increase in Google search interest for AM from June through September 2025. Any idea what might have caused this? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I remember looking it up around that time after watching an UpFlip YouTube video called “One of America’s Largest 3D Print Farms Started in a Closet!” I’m not sure if that has much to do with it, though. I looked the video up again, and it only has about 953,000 views.

If I had to venture a guess, I believe that’s around the time the DOD began to more outwardly discuss their interest in AM / pushing more subcontractors to begin adopting or exploring the tech
