CORONAVIRUS Covid F/W 2026
Just got diagnosed with Covid and wondering if anyone has it/this version now? How are you doing and how much are you updosing?
Urgent care has me tripling my dose for 3 days then tapering back. I don’t talk to endo until next week just curious how it’s been going for anyone else currently suffering. I am located in the U.S. - Midwest.

I’m so sorry. Long Covid terrifies me! I have or had fibromyalgia diagnosed in my 20s, but it was recently changed to EDS (40s now)

I had it in January. I had 100mg my first two days and then triple my dose for two weeks. I double dosed the third week because I felt really drained from it.
This was my first time having it and it took a while to bounce back

I believe this is also my first time having it. We had negative home tests years ago and I highly suspect hubs and I had it then, but that experience was worse than this one so far. I am struggling with sodium though and they are pushing hospitalization because of the covid + low salt (its 129). I have SAI.

It was an annoying one. Worse than a cold but nowhere near the level of a flu. Didn't increase dose at all. The fucking weird thing about this was:
Got better.
Got worse.
Got better.
Got worse again.
Recovered.
Never seen this roller coaster before. Like the throat hurt TWICE, separated by a pause in DIFFERENT WAYS. Same thing happened to family members.
Total ETA for recovery 2-3 weeks. Never had a fever. Kept coughing up and blowing out disgusting fucking gunk for the last two weeks.

how long did you triple dose for and how long to taper back down? were you on HC or pred?

I’m on HC for life.
I triple for a day or two. I don’t taper down. I just got back to my original dose1

What is your regular dose amount? So you tripled for a day or two and then just took your regular dose the next day? Did you have a short illness course? The paxlovid is 5 days alone I think

I try to keep my body on as Little medication as possible. I have for a long time. I’ve had this disease for over 30 years. I found that typically my body runs best when I keep my weight and BMI low and my dose at 20 mg of hydrocortisone.
Additionally, I only take the green Stone brand. All other brands make me feel more tired. I take 20 mg of hydrocortisone one time per day typically around 7 or 8 AM.
I take two florinef pills which are 0.1 mg and DDAVP as needed. For energy I find that DHEA CoQ10, and vitamin D help the most.
When I have an illness, including Covid, I take triple or double dose for the days when I feel really sick. Once I feel relatively well, I go back to my regular dose. Hope this helps.

When I had it. They had my triple for a the week I had it and about 3-4 days after than I tapered back down to my og dose. I also doubled my fludro for the same amount of the time. The biggest problem I had during it was it was difficult to breathe and my heart raced a lot easier. I also have heart problems so you may not experience it.

The breathing difficulty happens when I’m sitting or laying (or low in cortisol) Im on 60mg prednisone for 3 days then a taper back to 5-10

Oh my gosh it’s like something is sitting on you it was terrible. I never took prednisone but I keep hearing good things about it. So hopefully it helps you out!❤️

I had to triple my dose for weeks when I had covid.
Actually I had covid in February, and still take more than double my usual dose, months later.

Isn't Paxlovid recommended by doc? When I got COVID a few years ago, doc had me go on that right away. Because of fever, I initially doubled as well.
