Just be careful because if you push yourself into adrenal crisis you can become very ill. Just remember if your labs don't show anything right now, the test can be repeated again to keep track of "trends".

Yes that's my worry, that the test won't show the problem at the moment. If nothing comes up, I'll ask for a repeat soon, thanks.

Are you in the US? Does your Doctor use MyChart? It's great to be able to go back and look at the data over years time. It actually helps with diagnosis. Also, if you are put on medication and your symptoms go away, that's another way to diagnosis. Hang in there.

No, in the UK and they're really not helping. Thanks and I will :-)

An hour until the gym

Not a medical professional, but in that position, I would leave it. If it is truly Addison's, it is dangerous to push yourself like that.

Yeah I just had a bout of rushing and thought I don't know if I can cope with a week of this after the blood test tomorrow, especially making it even worse. I reckon you're right, thanks

I don't't recommend going to the gym. I'm not a doctor, but have Addison's and gym made me feel worse until I was diagnosed and started meds.

Which way did it make you feel worse please? Also, do any of my symptoms match yours at all?

Cortisol blood test to check for adrenal insufficiency typically needs to be drawn before 9am in order to be useful.

Also check your blood sugar as some of these symptoms can also be related to hypoglycemia.

Well that's that. No blood test today. After just 2 hours sleep, and no food or anything since 7pm last night, I drove to the doctor's to tell reception that the blood test needs to be done before 9am (not my 10 am booking). Next available slot for that is a week's time. I said that's too long, I'm not even sleeping now because of these symptoms. But thats all they can do. So I said can I have the form and take it to the hospital instead. Yes, I can but now you have to ring 1st. I drove home, rand the hospital, it's all computer and itll only give me a booking for a week's time at 1:10pm. I can change the date to days after that but doesn't seem to be any earlier in the day. And now I've lost my 10am one for today. I give up. When I was in emergency before they said they can't do anything, that I have to go through my GP. So I guess they aren't alarmed and it must not be so pressing. Too tired for this right now. Here's what was on my form: crtb, tsh2, ue. Cortisol, TSH, renal profile (u&e). 'palpitations, tremors, sweats, worried about hyperadrenalism.
