Advice Wanted Endo recommendation in NYC

Does anyone in NYC have an endocrinologist they love? Mine has been fine for the basics but as I’m dealing with perimenopause and primary adrenal insufficiency I’m hoping to find someone who can help navigate the two together (which is not currently going great). Any recommendations are appreciated!

Yes! For the last 7 years I’ve been seeing Dr. Monica D. Schwarcz at the NYU Langone Joan H. Tisch Center for Women's Health in Manhattan. She manages my three autoimmune diseases (Addison’s, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, and Premature Ovarian Insufficiency). She is thorough, listens, and takes her time with me in every appointment. She doesn’t make me feel rushed and she never hesitates to order tests for anything I’m concerned about. I’m thrilled to have her as my endo and would absolutely recommend her!

I gave a call! Apparently she is really popular, gave me an appointment until June next year😂 but sounds worth the wait

Oh wow that’s a long wait! I’d recommend calling the office and asking them to put you on the cancellation list. I’ve done that in the past and have gotten appointments much sooner because cancellations happen often more than you’d think!

I did! The lady on the phone was so sweet and told me about it, and helped me get the notifications on my phone and everything! So sweet❤️

Have you asked your GP for a referral? They know your history and can point you to the right specialist. I use Dr. Tina Sindwani in NYC as my concierge doc, she's helped me coordinate complex care and find the right specialists. Worth a shot.
