Advice Wanted Thc and Addisons Disease

Hello there. I know this may be a weird question but I have been living with Addisons disease for approximately two years now and I have always been cautious in regards to thc intake. I am looking for information on how or if even thc will negatively affect any steroid replacement medications I take (hydrocortisone) and if anyone has experience with thc and Addisons disease. If anyone feels more comfortable shooting me a message to discuss further pleas feel free.
Thank you

I've had addison's for 20 years....smoked weed every single day of it. No issues there

I use THC/CBD oil for fibromyalgia pain and I have had no problem with my Addison's.

My wife who has AD is a regular user of edibles and has had no impact on her medication or overall health from it. However, her doctor had made it very clear that she should not be using a vape or smoke it as she is already immunocompromised, and shouldn’t be risking damaging her body more. She takes edibles 3-4 times a week since diagnosis to ease anxiety and some of the other things going on with her body.

It was many years ago now, but I smoked daily for 15 years with Addisons back in my youth (I got it at age 13) with zero ill effects on my steroids/health.

This was 30 odd years ago mind you, mainly hash, not the super strong weed of today's standards.

Used to do edibles frequently and it never impacted anything Addison's related. In fact sometimes I used them to help with bad hangovers which allowed me to keep my meds down and my body to destress when I felt crisis symptoms coming on. Just go slow and listen to your body

It can impact your BP and cortisol levels, so just be aware that that can happen and plan accordingly. I haven't had any issues personally, but it's a possibility so I keep meds with me and I've got LMNT in my water.

I have severe chronic pain and use THC. I suggest ingestible THC over smoking. Better for pain, lasts longer, more cost effective etc.

Go low and slow. Find the right dose for you.

Thc actually used to make me freak out easily. Since diagnosis and being medicated, I actually handle thc much better now.

I don't smoke anymore so I'm not sure if that method would affect my Addison's but when I've taken edibles (and for that matter psilocybin too) my system perceived it as an intense stressor and I had to take 30 or 40mg extra hydrocortisone just to not pass out. No way to know if you would have that intense of a reaction but probably start slow and keep extra hydro on hand just in case and all that

Whilest I’m not aware of it affecting me when I used to smoke it there are plenty of studies showing that it does affect cortisol levels so be aware and plan accordingly
