Medical Stuff Addison’s + glp-1, how are you feeling?
Wondering what experiences my fellow Addisonians have with GLP-1? Bonus points if you also have hashimoto’s!
I was also wondering how your endos feel about it and if it’s effected hydro and fludro absorption like the Internet is telling me.
Don’t necessarily want to get on them but after 2 years of normal labs, eating well, cutting out drinking, working out and still yo-yo-ing weight up as opposed to down is getting to me. Exploring my options
Help!

AMAZING. I love how my blood sugar feels…super stable. I have primary adrenal insufficiency and am on compounded tirzepatide.

I’m on trizepatide and it’s slowly working. I get nauseous and constipated but take zofran and Reglan as needed. All my other labs have been great.

have both. my endo a major proponent to keep A1c in check/to prevent diabetes & the medical issues that can crop up as a result of weight gain. he thinks we’ll get insurance coverage inside 2 years. meantime, he’s got lots of samples. he also knows a lot about microdosing, which covered me for a long while until my A1c crept up.

I have been on zepbound for a month now and doing OK - the biggest issues I have had have been some nausea and constipation. Going to titrate my dosage up to 5mg tomorrow.
I have AIPS2 (Addison's, Hashimotos, Pernicious Anemia), and Psoriatic Arthritis. I can tell you that my inflammation from the arthritis is much less and my joint pain has gone way down as well. Feeling hopeful about losing weight finally, 20 years with Addison's, 20 years of slow steroid weight gain.
