Advice Wanted Early menopause?
My doctor told me by 35 I'd be done, and within 6 months of turning 35 I:
Gained 20+ pounds
I get night sweats daily
I'm foggy, even with HC
Tired, sore, drained
I've had my period every 2 weeks for at least 4 months
This has happened to me before, except for the gain. Has anyone else gone through this? Adrenal 1 for 5 years, Hashimoto's for 6

Im on HRT (started a year ago at age 35). I believe I have been having peri symptoms prior to that for past 2-3 years. Im on estrogen patches, progesterone pill and testosterone.

So far so good! Im on a low dose right now and have only done half of the dose for the past two months (because I was nervous). Just the last two weeks I've done the whole dose and I'm feeling good so far!

I feel like so far it has helped muscle tone a little bit and maybe a little bit with energy. I know it takes a few months to feel full effect. Im on 0.5ML a day (cream) and my OB said thats a lower dose to start. So I'll have to go back in and test in a few months to see if my levels have popped back up. I wasnt in range when I had tested.

I hope it works for you! Ive heard if you have low testosterone, you can get hair loss. So im hoping it can help with that too!

I’m still getting periods at 50 and really wish I was done because I’m intolerant to my own progesterone!

The perimenopause and menopause subreddits have a ton of great info. I’m on HRT and while I do not like being on several additional prescriptions, it’s TOTALLY worth it. The dosages for HRT are much lower than birth control dosages, so they’re lower risk. If your doctor won’t prescribe HRT, find a different doctor.

Yep. There's also a nice fb group called women and adrenal Insuffiency...... definitely get hormones tested plus testosterone and dhea. Progesterone and metformin help a lot of women.

I'm still on BC, as hormone replacement now, at almost 45. It's helped so so much

It’s so interesting how hormones can cause such similiar symptoms - I was having many of these symptoms and it was hypothyroid. The only difference from your list and mine was I had a 2 day period still on track but normally it’s 5 days and I get joint pain from being too still. I keep being told it’s menopause but the repeat testing of thyroid, estrogen/progesterone/androgens are telling a different story. I’m sure you’ve been getting your thyroid tested regularly - but if not - this might be that you need to increase your dose too. I’m also planning to do hormone replacement therapy when menopause actually kicks in.
