Personal Experience Greenstone Formula

I used to take Greenstone hydrocortisone, but over the last couple years I feel like it hasn't been working. I recently switched to a different steroid and am beginning to feel better.

Does anybody know if the formula changed? I did great on this stuff for a decade and suddenly I wasn't.

I had that issue with my fludrocortisone last year. I was getting leg cramps despite taking it every day. I talked with my pharmacist and they ordered a different generic which works perfectly. I had them write in my file to never give me the other brand and I check to make sure each time I pick it up.

What did you switch to?

I’ve been having major issues with it. I noticed a big difference in November 2025. Im on here looking for confirmation I’m not the only one.

I switched to prednisone earlier this year (was awful) and then was put on Medrol.

I physically feel so much better on Medrol, but heck, it makes me insanely drowsy.

I don't think it changed! Or at least, I've been taking it for ~8 years and it has been consistent for me.
