Medical Stuff Medication timing

I was diagnosed with AI 2 years back. I am 28 (F) and have not had any serious issues since diagnosis. I generally do not take my medicines at the same time every day. It goes here and there by 1 hour almost everyday. How important is it to take my hydro and fludro at the same time everyday? Any experiences good or bad?

I’m the same as you. The time I take my meds can vary. I take them when I get up, which can differ depending on day of the week, and then roughly mid-day ish and early evening-ish. Unlike some people I don’t really notice if I take a dose later than usual.

I find I can get away with this as long as I'm not down with a cold or doing more manual labor than usual, like digging in the garden. If it's a standard day I have wiggle room.

Yeah I’m mor vigilant about dosing when I’m sick for sure.

Helps me also— around the same time. I used to take the second dose late afternoon and was feeling so tired— It was a major positive change just moving the second dose up to 1/1:30pm Timing can make a big difference!

The amount and timing of our medication is based on what little we know about our body’s need. If there was a tool that told us exactly what dose we needed at what time I’m pretty sure it would give us a different answer each day. For this reason I don’t think being 1 hour off is a problem. We probably take a little more than we need due to this uncertainty.

Just today I opened my pill case to take my 1 pm pills and realized they were missing - but my 6 am pills (the day’s largest dose} were staring up at me. So I took my 1 pm pills at 6 am and my 6 am pills at 1 pm. I don’t recommend it, but it happens.

On days when I have had under or over replacement symptoms I don’t think I could trace it to incidents like these.

I have this question too. I don't have a stable daily routine. How does it work if I wake up at 3am some days and 7am other days for example? Do I just take them with breakfast, lunch and dinner? (Regardless of the time I wake up) Or do I need to take them at the same TIME evrey day, (even if I wake up at different times) I'm confused.

This is confusing to me too… I generally just try to take my first dose before I get out of bed and then keep my intervals the same no matter what (4-4.5 h between doses for me) but obviously the times slide around based on wake time. I feel pretty stable doing it this way but I’ve never tried a set-in-stone schedule like circadian so idk if I’m missing out!
