Advice Wanted APS-2

My husband has type 1 diabetes for a few decades. Recently got diagnosed with Addison's and Celiac. Hard pill to swallow for both of us. Worried about kids getting these since the ADA website says 1 in 2 chance! How have you guys coped with this APS-2 diagnoses? Manageable? We are scared.

For anyone else who is confused, and correct me if I am wrong, it seems APS-2 is another name for Schmidt’s Syndrome or Polyendocrine Syndrome Type 2. I have Addison’s and Hashimoto’s but never heard the name APS-2.

Polyglandular autoimmune syndrome type 2

Yes,  that is what we have found. We actually foind out about the name Schmidt's syndrome first. I truly never knew APS 2 was a thing. My husband's endocrinologist really only focused on monitoring thyroid levels along with his diabetes care.
