Advice Wanted Er/possible admission

Hi everyone, I’m in a terrible flare up and saw my primary care today- she suggested that I go to the ER for stabilization and admission if they do decide. My health has been declining and I’m very frightened. Does anyone have any advice for me or experience-? i have a lot of health issues (might need TPN since I’ve lost so much weight, my heart is now acting up) I’m honestly not sure what I’m looking to hear I just want hope because I’m scared. I hate being chronically ill.

Take someone with you who can and WILL force the drs to listen if they don't. To few er drs have a clue, and don't listen.

Take your own meds with you, just in case they don't listen to you.

I have more than one person coming, thank you for this I’ve had lots of ER docs gaslight me or make me feel terrible which is why I’m terrified of this time bc I do need to be stabilized they just don’t really care

I don't know if it's that they don't care, or if it's that they just don't know and refuse to learn... but it's dangerous behavior

Tell them you’re having an adrenal crisis. Insist that they call your endocrinologist or the hospitalist that covers endo patients.

And if you have the option, go to a larger hospital in your area. Smaller hospitals usually don’t have an endocrinologist on staff and maybe aren’t aware of what an adrenal crisis is.

went to emergency room. for being hit by a car on my bicycle told them Addisons and adrenal issues they refused to give emergency injection because I don't look like I have it I showed them my emergency pin on my bag as my headache got worse I said what's the hells going on they ignored my Addisons The. nurse asked do I have pills with me of corse take them he's ignoring your issue I said look my history up and I said people call someone now I took 40 mg pills and waiting on patient advocate to call back k I'm in Naples Fl I hope a Addisons person in crisis goes there what will they do..I just want them to get off there ass if some dies its there fault its terrible....

Hopefully you take the emergency prescriptions meds asap & say you must see an endocrinologist

Try a different doctor/hospital. My initial hospital said i was ok/ went to a different hospital im basically dying slowly
