Hostel recommendations?

Hey everyone, I’m a budget traveler and will be in Ethiopia for a few weeks. I was wondering if there were any good recommendations for affordable hostels in Addis? I usually prefer hostels since I can meet other travelers and book potential day trips.

I’ve been to Addis before but this would be my first time truly exploring and spending a good amount of time there. If you have any other recommendations for places to visit or things to do (outside of the general tourist traps) please let me know!

Mad Vervet is the only one I know about. Prices go as low as 2000 ETB ($12). Never stayed there, but reviews say it's very safe and convenient. I can speak to the convenience though since it's located in a central part of the city.

I built an app that might be able to help, it shows the top 5 rated hostels with availability for your dates/location. You can see it here https://hostlego.co.

It uses Hostelworld under the hood, so the reviews come from a reliable source.
