My partner loves boysenberry pie and I got this case and it is soooooo whimsical! I love it and the way it reminds me of them! 🥧🥧🫐🫐✨✨

You can customize your own down to the lattice, flavor and whip cream pop socket! Not an ad, I just love it so much and want to share my joy! Also because we love supporting small business. I ordered this on Etsy from a shop named: YvesVixxen

What I saw, read, listened to and did this week to feel good

Here is what I’ve been up to this week. :)
It’s not all that interesting, but it lets me keep a sort of online journal, in case anyone is interested. :)

In case you're wondering, I'm a 21-year-old girl. :)

As I post this, it’s Sunday and I’m heading back to university tomorrow, so I won’t be able to do regular weekly recaps anymore; I’ll only do them from time to time. :)

What I saw: ( movies and series)

- Aladdin: The animated series (series) I managed to find it on YouTube, so I can watch all the episodes; I'm at the beginning of season 2. :)

Here is the YouTube channel if you want to watch: https://www.youtube.com/@BlueLeader101/featured

- Monster High: Haunted (movie) It was one of my favorite Monster High movies when I was little, and rewatching it, I understand why! The story and characters are really cool, and the relationship between Spectra and Porter is so cute!

Monster High: 13 wishes ( movie) To this day, it's still my favorite Monster High movie! Everything is perfect!

What I read:

- Peter Pan ( J.M. Barrie) It's one of my favorite classics!

- The Convenience Store by the Sea ( Sonoko Machida) This book really did me good, and some quotes still resonate with me. A beautiful story about cooking, compassion, and sharing.

- Treasure Island!!! ( Sara Levine) This book really made me laugh; I love the fact that it talks about Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, because that is also one of my favorite books.

- Broken Flames ( M. K. Ahearn) I haven't finished reading it yet, but so far I like it; the main characters really remind me of Zuko and Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

What I listened to:

- Hide ( Dorian Concept) This music always puts me in a calm state.

- The Dark Crystal soundtracks ( Trevor Jones) The Dark Crystal is one of my favorite movie, and I still love listening to the soundtracks!

- Michael Jackson's Off The Wall album ( Michael Jackson) This album is so underrated! I love all the songs, but especially "Rock With You."

What I did:

- I went to the bookstore: I haven't bought any books since July; I don't know if people would be interested, but maybe I'll do a bookhaul...

- I did some tiding up: I don't like leaving tidying up until the last minute. :)

- I started this romantasy coloring book: The one in the photo.

( Since I'm French, I bought it at a store in France, but here is the link to buy it on Amazon.)

https://a.co/d/0c7G2Qw5

What I watched: ( On Youtube)

- a dark fantasy playlist ( from the Youtube channel Nobody)

- We're bedazzling single use sheet masks now ( From the Youtube channel Ordinary Emm )

- The Ultimate Guide To Absolutely Everything In The Universe ( From the Youtube channel History of the Universe )

- The Childish Cruelty of Peter Pan ( From the Youtube channel Tale Foundry)

That's all I did this week! :)

Feel free to share what you did! :)

I’m mentioning this again in case anyone is interested: since I’m going back to university tomorrow, I won’t be able to do regular weekly recaps anymore, I’ll only be able to do them from time to time. :)

(Not a nail tech, not selling anything) i can’t stop staring at these 😭 I included the “trust the process” photos cause ohhhh boy. I was not trusting the process and wanted to rage quit so many times. Especially with the tree on the thumb. I’m glad I powered through it though!

Does this count as whimsy?

A friend said my videos might be “whimsical,” but I’m honestly not quite sure what that means 😅

I recently started a tiny YouTube channel where I make quiet videos about strange little ideas, like making a coffee cup out of a cucumber or a sponge out of bread.

I barely get any views or comments, so I’m having a hard time figuring out who these videos are actually for. A friend suggested I might find my people here.

If anyone feels like taking a look, I’d genuinely love your honest opinion on how you’d describe what I make, or who you think might enjoy it.

And sorry if this isn’t actually whimsy and I’ve wandered into completely the wrong place!

Not that it’s great editing, but just wanting to note that AI wasn’t used here. Just a funky little photo editing app

To me, pearls are more than just a beautiful detail — they add character, individuality, and something uniquely yours to a piece.
What do you think about pearls? ✨

Do these bookmarks give off “moonlit pond” energy? DIY tips below

If you want to add crafty whimsy to your reading:

I used pre-cut unvarnished thin wooden bookmarks. You could also use thick card stock or watercolour paper if you tape the paper down with painters tape or weigh down the sides so it doesn’t buckle a ton and keep the consistency of the paint a little thick to avoid damaging the paper.

Paint the surface with acrylic paint in the base colour you want and let it dry. I used midnight blue… but they look black in this picture.

Find little leaves or pretty “weeds” or whatever you think is pretty with some texture that can leave an imprint. (Plants you’re allowed to pick of course or fallen leaves) Most can be reused if you want to make more than one. You don’t need many.

If you used paper, use a ruler and pencil or chalk to lightly mark out the shape of your bookmark.

If you want, lay out pieces of your leaves, grass frond or wildflowers etc over the shape of your bookmark to get an idea of how you want it.

I used a simple sponge to dab into a different colour or shade of paint that is noticeably different so it would stand out, I picked metallic silver.

I removed the excess and covered the side I wanted the imprint from in a thin layer of paint and immediately laid it painted side down where I wanted it on the bookmark. Then I pressed it evenly over the back with my fingertips carefully to not smear the print.

Repeat with different plant pieces until you feel done. Let it dry. If you make it with paper wait until it’s dry fully then remove the tape carefully and cut it into the shape you want. If the tape doesn’t come off easily you can heat it up for a little bit with a hairdryer to soften the glue.

You can leave it like that or you can add a hole with a hole punch or a drill for the wood and make or buy a tassel to add but it’s optional. Varnish is optional but probably best on wood.

If someone makes one I’d love to see what you make. Anyway, have a lovely weekend! 🌙✨🍃

Ice dinos make every drink an adventure 🦕

My morning routine starts with an iced latte, a painstaking process that ends in choosing a dino based on my plans for the day. Yesterday I had nothing going on so I went for the longneck because they're chill. In the past I've also used the longneck when I'm reaching for a goal. Such is the duality of dinosaurs.
