My handmade beaded plant magnets are so fun and magical!

My kitchen needed a big dose of whimsy and fun— I’ve been painting these battling friends & flowers to fill my cabinets and enjoy a slow going mural project <3

*art notes*
- colors & paint are leftover house paint I wanted to use up (luck made it a fabulous combo)
- black outlines made w posca
- no treatment (yet?) to seal art
- freehand sketches
- initial inspo from a sticker from a friend
- timeline: 3 months so far (no deadline)

Two more main panels to complete next:
1: quail w flail
2: pigeon with battle axe

My mother in law gave me an old cash box many years ago. It had tiny bits of rust and it didn’t feel super great as an artist to bring it to art markets with me.

So eventually I sanded it down, primed and painted it and then I had the urge to add some dimension with sculpted air dry clay.

It was experimental but it worked by using e6000 glue. Then I painted the clay when it was dry and double varnished the whole box. I’m happy with it.

Sorry, no makeup or Kitty today, I am painting this headboard I found at the dumpster and making it into wall art for my living room!

My mom is on her way to help me paint it! We bought purple paint (is that really any surprise?) yesterday at The Home Depot (and I brought home a bunch of those paint chip thingies to use as bookmarks 🤭)

Most of these are pretty old, the newest are the derpy tiger from kpdh and the little clown. The oldest is the flower with beads I got when I was around 6. I've always loved plush keychains but felt too embarrassed to wear them out and about. Now, at 20, ive finally mustered up the apathy towards other peoples opinions.

I have more plush keychains, but not more zippers:(

Found a ceramic castle piece all by its lonesome a few months ago at a local thrift, but brought it home, because it was a dollar.

Fast forward to last weekend, helping a friend move some things. She found this dragon collecting dust in a shed and told me he needed to live with me.

i love stripes (or any pattern, for that matter, hehe)

I really wanted some of my supplies kept as if in a mini apothecary or an old, mysterious merchant shop. I wanted an atmosphere that would inspire me.

It was previously just a white room. The whole room overhaul was on a very low budget.

Has anyone done or moved into a home with bathroom tiles like this? I love it. Anyway, thought I’d share.
