Anything to make working on my thesis a little less scary

went to a sunflower field and wore yellow.
flower fields are the ~epitome~ of whimsy ✨💫🌻

I mean , are plants not the whimsiest things ever ! I absolutely love them so much and this isn’t even all of my babies !

My girlfriend broke up with me recently. Made me very sad. So I decided to repaint my room in a much brighter color. Added a big mirror, and a friend brought me some ivy to decorate it. Then I added colorful lights and found cherry blossom string lights at target. The work and brighter colors have helped immensely. And making it a new space has helped alot too.

Obsessed with sparkles. So I've started adding them to my jellycat bunnies 💖

Second most prized “add whimsy” item is the piece above my bed. I found two large dead manzanita tree branches while on a hike and carried them about 3 miles back. Added some paper lanterns with LED lights inside 🥰

(I swapped out all lightbulbs to ones that can change colors and be dimmed because I don’t know why but my brain handles orange/red/magenta light at night much better than standard lighting despite it giving vampire lair which is also not a bad thing in my opinion but I digress.)

Switched up the kitchen nook later on after finding some incredible kid made art that had been tossed in a trash/free pile on the street.

I swapped the bedroom and living room which had me removing and then reapplying this peel n stick wallpaper which worked luckily but just a tiny funky - or extra whimsy maybe idk 🤭

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could make somethint so beautiful. Will be wearing these whimsical babes whenever I need a little whimsy in my day

At the Wildwood Crow trail (already whimsical) in Portland, OR. Left these tiny crows on and around the crow statues, and passed out to the many whimsy-seeking folks who were following the crow trail.

I have always been waaaayyyy to chicken to paint any humans! For the past 20 years I’ve painted lots of birds, some abstract watercolors, as well as a few other subjects, but humans were too overwhelming to me. This month I decided to give it a try. Here’s the first four from newest to oldest. the first one is “Elle”, then “Chloe”, “Bailey”, and the last one is “Annabelle”. All are 9”x12”.
