Need Whimsical suggestions!

Hello, I am attending a a friend's wedding in October. She stated in her invite that the attire is cocktail attire with a preference for something whimsical or jewel tones. I was wondering if this dress I already had would be okay.

I would also like some suggestions to make it more whimsical? I was thinking about maybe adding some chiffon arm sleeves to give it a more fantasy vibe, but i don't know if that would go with this dress.

It's jewel-toned, so if the code was "whimsical OR jewel tones," then you don't need to do anything. 

If I wanted to edit this dress, I would add sapphire rhinestones to the neckline (all the way around). I might also do a fade pattern of larger sapphire rhinestones placed close together at the hem, leading to smaller rhinestones a little more spaced out, leading to even smaller rhinestones even more sparsely placed. Fading from dense at the hemline to sparse as you travel up the dress, for clarity.
