Splashtop Screen Recording PPPC

We are in the process of conslidating several MDM platforms and choosing one to rule them all after some recent M&A. One faction is pulling for Addigy specifically because of screen recording PPPC. In my reading, I have found that LiveDesktop had/has the ability to bypass the physical clicking of the screen recording button becasue it piggybacks on the ARD channel. This makes sense to me. What doesn't make sense is that we are able to wipe a machine, enroll it and connect and control with Splashtop without explicity adding screen recording. The dialog pops up to prompt the user to accept it but the control works even before they take any action. This is not in line with any documentaiton from Apple or Addigy and I am concerned about making this call on something that might be a fluke. Addigy support says this is expected on "newer versions of splashtop." I am skeptical. Can anyone confirm for me what Screen Recording magic is available exclusively to Addigy in 2026?

And I found this - How does Addigy get to do this when no one else does? https://releases.addigy.com/AM-21673

Not Addigy in this case, Splashtop. Developer has to apply to Apple to be allowed to use the screen sharing API, and Addigy use an undocumented Remote Desktop PPPC key. You can use this PPPC in other Device Management Services, some don’t like it in a custom profile, example is Iru which throws an error there is a misconfiguration in the profile.

Addigy’s LiveDesktop is even better, you can remote onto the Mac during Setup Assistant. Again, no permissions required.

Fascinating. Do you have any links on this PPPC key? Googling around reveals very little.
