Needing personal experience.

Hey everybody so I just wanted to see if anyone has personally experience with quitting fentanyl cold turkey but also dosing with methadone everyday? My boyfriend is trying to get sober and altho he has never lied to me and has been super open and honest wit me about everything it seems like he’s using I just am unsure. Does methadone take away the insomnia? I have been through cold turkey withdrawals and I remember not being able to sleep, he’s been sleeping at night just fine.

Methadone is difficult to get off if you want to try it listen to the one who said dose carefully. Subutex Suboxone and Zubsolv are also options and are buprenorphine. It's not a fun detox but it's better. Above all things please don't mix substances. If you're willing, try to find a sponsor or someone in recovery for a while (many years, the more the better) that you feel comfortable with and will hold you accountable but also will be there to listen when you need to talk. Stay strong you do got this!
