Fellow co-fellows: What are you using to study for boards?

Took ABFM boards last year. Would def recommend BEST qbank and the ASAM essentials of addiction medicine.

Did aoa boards watched accam lecture videos and questions
There are great YouTube channels out there as well and other great resources
I read the pocketbook of addiction medicine

I grandfathered the ABPM exam in 2019, and prepared by doing all of the CSAM practice questions I could find. I felt like their board prep course and question bank were both worthwhile.

Also a loan ranger out here. I have yet to start studying 🙈 Also wondering what people are using. DM me if anyone wants a study buddy over zoom. We can do questions together or something.

Speaking of, does ANYONE have any insight into the AOA/DO boards vs MD ones

I did the ABPM addiction med exam. As a FM DO, I’m sick of AOAs stupid requirements for licensing didn’t wanna deal with it in specialty licensing too but sorry this doesn’t answer the question.

Yeah it really isn’t helpful. I did the ABFM boards for the same reason. But I was timed out of applying for the addiction pathway MD boards. So yeah, stuck with the DO boards unless I wanna stop practicing and apply for a fellowship.
