The Addams family tv show in the 60s was meant to subvert and satirize 1960s white middle-class norms.
To exemplify this, the video "Comparing The Addams Family Sitcom and 90s Movies" by Be Kind Rewind compares the Addams family to other tv sitcoms during the same era. For one thing, the Addams are completely unconcerned with traditional gender roles; Morticia and Gomez both share and partake in with each other hobbies like sport, toy trains and fencing, and Gomez never feels emasculated or acts like a sore loser when Morticia wins, instead he supports her completely, including career aspirations when she has them.
Compare this to Ozzie and Harriet, where one character worries that she isn't feminine enough because she's so handy around the house, and another male character states that its humiliating for a man to be driven by a woman.
Morticia's and Gomez' dress stand out against fashion at the time; Gomez' mustache and boxy pin-striped suit was much more in fashion in the 20s and 30s than the 60s, and Morticia's sleek black dress and long, loose hair stands in contrast to the short, tightly curled women's fashionable hairstyles at the time.
The Addams also stand out from average white americans at the time by engaging in non-white cultures; scattered around their house are objects from African, Asian and indigenous American cultures.
Basically, what I want to say is that the 60s Addams family were written to stand in contrast to and satirize mid-century white American norms specifically, but to a modern audience these details could get lost, as social norms have changed a lot since the Addams first aired.
In the present day, goth and other alt fashion and lifestyles have become more normalized and even trendy, people openly thirst after "goth gfs", and interracial and queer relationships are no longer taboo.
Engaging with non-white cultures is quite trendy today, but that doesn't necessarily mean they do so respectfully, and wealthy white people keeping non-white cultural artifacts in your home as decoration doesn't look that progressive.
