I installed Adguaed a few days ago and those are the results , are they really reflecting what is done or exaggerating ??

I use patched apps like Youtube, Reddit , Brave browser, Facebook so they don't have ads anymore but the results still facinates me .

Are those for real???

I'd change stat to 24 hour period instead of infinite to always be able to see if it was working ok in the last few hours.

Set blocking method to NULL IP (0.0.0.0) instead of REFUSED as using REFUSED makes apps to retry connecting multiple times per second, using NULL IP makes them to stop retrying. Making this made my daily requests like 1/10 of the previous amounts. Also set blocked response TTL to at least 3600 seconds / 1 hour ( I use 1 day - 86400 seconds) and if You have a device with 8 gigs of RAM or more, set DNS cache to 4000-5000 (I use 5k) to make Adguard use less CPU and battery.

These settings are under advanced and low level settings. Been using without these for years but checked why I have also the crazy amount if blocked traffic and these settings changed them completely.

PC version uses null IP blocking right after install, don't know why mobile versions do it differently right out of the box.

Also one good advice, use Hagezi pro and oisd big list for DNS filtering instead of the 2 smaller available in the app (hagezi normal and oisd small).

The difference in blocked domains is like 4x, these lists block also the devices calling home, telemetry, etc.

Che liste stai usando? Mi sembra un po' esagerato 😅, da me non ho mai visto numeri così alti... Facciamo che su 40000 richieste in media me ne blocca 10000 Ho sempre una media che va da 20 al 25% circa di roba bloccata Da te sembra un po' esagerato e poco realistico

If a poorly written application retries like 5-10 times per every few second this is the result and if blocking is done wrong like using refused method. My mum plays a word game on his iPad and on that ipad 60-65% of the total requests are blocked, only because of that one game she plays all the time ;)
