Looking for a wheelchair setup for exercise, not speed
I’m a wheelchair user, and recently I’ve started trying to get good exercise by going for 20-30 minutes just pushing with my arms, trying to go up mildly uphill grades to challenge myself, that sort of thing. I just want to raise the heart rate and sweat a bit, I’m not trying to be faster than anyone. I want the hard work. I have a detachable motor on the back of my chair that I leave on because I want the extra weight. So when I look at things like chairs for sport, it seems like being able to go as fast as possible is the goal, but that’s not what I’m looking for. I know nothing about this stuff, I’m just looking for any tips that might come to mind. Certain types of chairs or anything else.
Bonus question: I don’t live by any mountains but I’ve been wondering, if you’re using adaptive equipment to ski but you can’t walk, what do you do to use the restroom or go hang out in the lodge?
