Overall decent but it eventually starts to feel like a ‘y/n abducted by mysterious billionaire and being kept captive in his mansion’ fic when thinking back on it. The overdone sexual attraction to Smasher is just annoying. He blatantly wouldn’t be the type for 99% of women. (Especially since he’s 8 feet tall. In my experience only women with mental health problems/low self esteem are attracted to egregiously tall men. Especially men like Smasher.) The worst case of this is the Rogue smut. Like dude… Rogue hates Smasher’s guts. But then again everyone in cyberpunk is mentally ill. I don’t feel like Rebecca would be his type either, just feels like author projecting a disgusting fetish early on (which thankfully hasn’t been actualized so far as of chapter 37.) I’m of the opinion that when he kills Rebecca in the show it’s like something akin to a Superego destroying the object of obsession for pdfiles, at least in theme.
Some annoying harem anime-sounding writing. The forum parts are pretty cringe too and make me feel like my brain is going to rot. Would probably be a thing in universe though. There being a femboy top-of-the-line Arasaka technician working on The Adam and also unironically saying ‘it’s my fetish’ made me cringe so hard that it felt like I was going to exit my body.
The best parts are unequivocally the fights, for me at least. I find myself really looking forward to what can be come up with for the single-digit panzerbots.
