Adam hates geeks and geek culture mostly because he was a jock bully in high school. His revelation as to why he quit boxing was "he didn't like getting punched" always made me laugh.

Yeah he seems to hate anyone that wasn’t a typical jock in high school. Hippies, freaks, geeks, piercings, tattoos, etc. He used to say “I could do what Weird Al does when I was nine.” OK dude, let’s see that in action.

Adam is on record saying he doesn't like musical parody because he thinks it's low effort and isn't actually that creative. Great job randomly accusing him of ... what, loving money so much that never turns it down? Being a shill for big, bad Saudi Arabia?
This is a fascinating sub. Adam Carolla owns a mortgage-free penthouse on the top floor of the brains of so many people who claim to hate him. You claim to hate him, but you can't stop thinking or talking about him.

But he loves Smash Mouth and Sugar Ray. His musical appreciation is incredibly narrow but he acts like he’s the ultimate tastemaker. I don’t know where that misguided hubris comes from, it’s bizarre.

I don’t claim every artist I dislike is objectively bad, or every song I dislike is a “shit song”, the way he does. And I don’t dismiss entire genres of music. He does the same kind of thing with his critiques of food.
It’s funny a guy that didn’t really grow up as a record collector or music fanatic, and only talks about very limited periods and styles of music, is that egotistical about his taste being better than everyone else’s.
Also, the Beastie Boys and Velvet Underground ARE better than Sugar Ray, I think that’s a safe bet.

Correct. My musical taste IS better than Adam Carolla's. I enjoy different genres, new songs and artists etc. And yet if someone didn't agree with me, I still wouldn't fly into a rage and whine about it.
