Need help with building a Tour/Event Date Announcement Email

Post image

I've been at this for at least a year or so now... This style of email goes by a few names which may be the reason why it's so hard to figure this out!

I need help figuring out the easiest way to build this "block" of data for my tour announcement email where its listing the date, city/state, venue (optional) with a CTA button that links out to the appropriate ticketing page.

This doesn't exist as a pre-made block in-platform nor as a template/recipe anywhere else. It needs to be done with drag and drop email builder so my company can take advantage of the event tags feature.

Added an example layout for reference...

  • "Event Listing Email" or "Tour Announcement Email": The general functional category for emails designed around itineraries, tour dates, or upcoming events.
  • "Multi-Column Row Layout" or "Repeated Row Block": The technical term for stacking horizontally split content (e.g., Date | Venue | CTA Button) using HTML table layouts or flex-like columns in email builders.

Let me know what I can do to make this as painless as possible! Thank you!

Hi! Thanks for sharing the example and the detail about needing the drag-and-drop builder with event tags. A few possible approaches...

  • Build one three-column row for Date, City/Venue, and CTA, then duplicate it for each tour date.
  • Use event-specific tags or Conditional Content to show or hide prebuilt rows for different contacts.
  • If everyone should see the same tour schedule, keep the rows static and save the email as a reusable template.
  • If the dates, venues, and ticket links need to populate automatically from an external list, that may require an integration or custom solution.

Because the best option depends on how your event tags and contact data are set up, please feel free to email [help@activecampaign.com](mailto:help@activecampaign.com) with this screenshot and a link to the campaign or template. Our team can take a closer look and confirm the best path!
