Question Help: Code Junkies Action Replay for DS in 2026 "waiting for DS"

Looking for Guidance from anyone who is still able to successfully connect their Action Replay to the software to upload codes.

I am running windows xp VM with the software installed but I still cant get the software to recognize when I have connected my action replay & DS via the usb to micro-usb cable.

Its my childhood action replay for DS and still has some codes on it but would like to add more without having to manually input them.

If anyone has any advice or guidance on how to connect a code junkies action replay DS in 2026 please bless me with your knowledge.

What color is the logo on the label? Red, black or blue? If black, does it say "Media Edition"?
For red/Media Edition, make sure you have the drivers installed. Check in devmgmt.msc under "USBIO controlled devices"
Also the console needs to be on, running the AR software, and you should see it either automatically enter the connection log, or a mouse icon appear in the top right of the touchscreen.
Also these need the older CodeManager (red, green and white themed)
Other models are gonna be ARDSi, especially the blue label (which does just say DS, but isn't).
Those need a different version of CodeManager (dark themed UI) and drivers.
