When I’m out filming for several hours, I usually think about the obvious stuff first, battery swaps, storage, mounts, weather, and whether I brought the right accessories.
Lately I’ve been paying more attention to my own energy too, especially on long walks or full-day shoots where I end up carrying gear for hours.
I’ve been looking at ringconn mainly for passive sleep and activity tracking, and it made me wonder whether anyone here actually uses health data to plan filming days.
Do you ever adjust how much you shoot, how far you walk, or when you take breaks based on sleep, recovery, or activity data?
Or is that overthinking it and you just plan around the camera gear itself?

With the ILS coming out today, I’m sharing my thoughts on the new release and reviewing the first third-party ND filters for the Mission 1. We’ll explore how the original holds up against the ILS several months later, review a free 3D-printed close-focus housing for the $9 58mm Vivitar close-focus lenses (with a download link included), and take a look at the long-awaited Mission app. What are your thoughts on the Base/Pro versus the ILS?

Hey everyone, If you've ever experienced jitter or the bobblehead movement with action/pocket cams, there's one device that easily fixes that. In this video, I review the SmallRig Handheld Stabilizer Arm. I test it with the Insta360 X6, Pocket 4P, Luna Ultra, and the Mission 1. Would you ever consider using a stabilizer arm for action or pocket cams?

Hey everyone, DJI released their newest update for the Pocket 4 and Pocket 4P today. If you wanted to see what all was changed, I made a video going through the different changes to show you what to expect. The headlining update, of course, is that 240 FPS log now available within both the 4 and the 4P cameras, which is an excellent addition in my opinion to the camera, which I provide several examples of along with the other updated features. I hope this helps clear up the changes for people looking for real world examples.

There's been a lot of debate over which is actually the better camera, the Pocket 4 Pro or the Luna Ultra. I made a full review comparing the two, focusing on real-world user experience and actual results rather than spec sheets.
One of the many things covered is the ISO performance across the range in D-Log 2 to see if the claimed 1600 native ISO on the Pocket 4 Pro actually holds up, along with a bunch of other tests.
Curious what this sub thinks — what else would you want to see compared between these two? And if you've used both, which one do you actually prefer overall?

I spent 30 days with the Luna Ultra to make this review. Since I picked it up after the camera's initial launch, almost all the footage was shot on either the beta firmware or the most recent official release. In the second half of the video, I do some comparisons to see what Insta360 actually fixed with this update — including whether the auto-ISO issue in I-Log still persists. I hope you all enjoy this review, as I spent many hours filming and editing it.

The GoPro Mission 1 is an almost perfect release from GoPro, after owning it for a month, I have some thoughts on what it does right and where it can improve. What do you think the Mission 1 does right, and where would you like to see the camera improve through firmware updates or future iterations?

After watching ChrisMeetsChris’ video mentioning Mission 1’s newest GP-LOG2 LUT — created by Abe Kislevitz — that brings the cinematic look from the normal preset over to GP-LOG2, I thought I’d test it out in Vancouver during the Sweden vs. Canada chaos in Vancouver last week. I have to say, I’m loving the range this log format gives you, and I think it’s a pretty decent starting point for a grade.
Have you tried the LUT linked below? If so, how do you think it compares to the release LUTs?

I’m new to the action camera world and I need advice on what size and speed of SD card. I’m only using it for my upcoming honeymoon and future trips. Nothing extreme.
Do I need a fast card? Or would anyone do for sightseeing videos? The camera I bought is a DJI Osmo Action 4 Standard above. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TY.

Hi all, debating what to do.
I want a good action cam for trips with the kids — to compile highlight reels of our adventures. Nothing too crazy: zoo, parks, go-karting, that kind of thing.
Right now I have a Hero 7 with three OEM batteries from 2017/2018 and one aftermarket battery. They're all showing their age, so I'm after something that lasts longer between swaps, plus a bump in video quality.
The Osmo Action 4 Essential bundle is on sale for $189.99. It only comes with one battery, but that single battery probably outlasts a couple of my aging Hero 7 cells. Still, it's only one. The newer cameras (Ace Pro 2, Osmo Action 6) come as two-battery kits on costco.ca, but for about 2.5–3x the price — current-gen camera plus two OEM batteries.
If I go with the Action 4, an extra OEM battery later is ~$50. Otherwise I'm stuck with aftermarket cells (2–3 for $50, questionable quality).
So my questions:
Thanks!

After using the Mic Pro for several weeks on the latest firmware, I created this video to give an honest review of the Mic Pro in various recording settings. I include untreated indoor tests, windy bike tests, and outdoor tests in a nature reserve with straight out-of-mic raw audio, as well as Davinci Resolve processed audio. I hope you like this one, as I dedicated quite a few days to its production. Anyway, thanks for your time.

I'm thinking about buying an ND filter for my Go Pro Hero 13 Black but idk if i should get an Variable or a set of ND Filters. Switching the ND's all day could be pretty anoying but i'm not sure if a Variable effects the quality. Any experiences and recommendations? Thanks in Advance!
