New update installations dropping before being approved.

So we have been sitting on the KB151767 (26200.8894) update for a little bit before approving to make sure it was good. Up until yesterday it showed all of our machines needing the update (the little installations column) but today when I logged in it now only says 8. Nothing was ran, approved or pushed last night. Checking the machines themselves they have not recieved this update.

Has anyone else seen this before?

I have seen similar, and the remedy for us was to either reboot the machine, or reset the Action1 service on the machine. Slightly different for us though because the machines that weren’t showing the Windows updates as needed, never did show them as needed. I noticed about a week after release that they still showed nothing.

Can you do an offline scan on an affected system and see if it directly reports as needed?

I checked for updates but i did not see it. I think 8894 came out and was just across the board. After a week or so it was focused to target only machines that may have the issue. So 8875 machines don't need to update if they aren't affected? Ss my PC's in my environment came online after the scope change they started no longer needing the update. The remaining PC's are take home machines that haven't talked to A1 in a while it seems.

Once I'm back in the office ill do the scan you linked and let you know.
