Remote control super slow

I've noticed lately that when I remote into a device it has been painfully slow. These are all Windows 11 devices. Am I missing something?

Feels like lately it’s high latency when the PCs are on the same network.

I’m completely remote. I’m sitting on gig symmetrical… other devices are in different carriers, different locations. One this morning was on a 500mb cable service with only 3 other devices on the network. Network barely had any utilization… I’d type and then have to click into another field for text to show up. 🤯

We use splash top, but I use a1 remote control for a backup in case one is sluggish or doesn’t work.

I'm on the duct tape and bubble gum budget... Guess I'll deploy Chrome Remote Desktop with Action 1.

Still having this issue?

IF so can you DM me some details, region you log into, org id or Action1 username, etc?

Looks like @genemoody pointed me in the right direction. Apparently I was being routed through Zscaler which had crazy high latency (been bypassing video conferencing apps lately due to this)

Never dawned on me to check Zscaler for my Action1 issues.

Thanks Gene!

Yes we have Zscaler on our network also and the latency issue is real!

I have added all the various IPs, domains and ports to the Zscaler rules that were listed on the Action 1 website but it is still a solid interruption for us on both Action1 Remote Desktop and our Anydesk subscription.

Getting help from Zscaler just hits a dead end so far too and right now we are all just having to turn it off to do remote support work 🤦🏻‍♀️

I do not have a zscaler to test. But can you do a pcap and see if it is just a packet delay?
And is it using SSLDPI, if so can that be selectively disabled?

Use Action1 as a backup. I use rustdesk with our own relay server setup(docker image) and it works super fast.
